This Newsletter has been produced by the Petersfield COVID-19 Network. It is intended to help and inform Petersfield residents, especially those who are unable to leave their homes because of Government restrictions.

Latest infection statistics in Cambridge
Between June 28 – Jul 5 2021, 441 people had a confirmed positive test result. This is a 28% increase from the previous week. There were 29 cases in Petersfield from 25 Jun – 2 July. Between June 20 – 27, the number of hospital admissions (CUH) for Covid-19 was 3. There were 0 deaths
Vaccinations in Cambridge
Despite the current higher than national average infection rate in Cambridge, the percentage of the population who have received the vaccine remains low. Nationally, 86.4% have received the first dose compared with 61% in Cambridge and nationally 65% have had the second dose compared with 36% in Cambridge.
In an attempt to improve the situation, a number of walk-in vaccination centres are being set up for those over-18s who have not yet received both doses of the vaccine.
