As England gets ready to head toward its so-called Freedom Day on July 19, the latest weekly coronavirus rates have been released.

These weekly rates show the difference in coronavirus case rates between the last two seven-day periods for local authority areas across the country.

For the seven days to June 27, the city recorded a case rate of 247.6, compared to just 105.8 in the previous seven days to June 20.

Cambridge had 309 cases in the week to June 27, compared to just 132 the week prior.

South Cambridgeshire also saw a steep rise in cases, with their rate rising from 50.9 in the seven days to June 20, to 111.3 in the seven days to June 27.
