Latest infection statistics in Cambridge
Public Health England data indicate there were 84 new cases of Covid-19 in Cambridge for the week Nov 27th – Dec 4th. This is a slight decrease of 7% on the new cases reported in the previous week. Cambridgeshire is likely to remain in Tier 2 when the tiers are reviewed this week, because of increasing infection rates elsewhere in the County.
COVID-19 Vaccination Programme goes live in Cambridgeshire
Teams of trained vaccinators will start to vaccinate patients against coronavirus at Addenbrooke’s Hospital from Dec 7th at the start of the biggest immunisation programme in history.
People aged 80 and over as well as care home workers will be first to receive the jab, along with NHS workers who are at higher risk.
